The Smart Digital team is on-site this week filming highlights and interviews at DSA (Defense Services Asia), which takes place until May 9 at the Malaysian International Trade and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
The team will be capturing content from across the defence sector from border protection to cybercrime. DSA provides a platform for foreign defence and security leaders to engage in critical dialogue, exchange knowledge, and establish partnerships which transcend national borders, fostering stronger relationships between nations.
The 18th edition of Defence Services Asia was officially opened by Malaysian Prime Minister Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. 2024 represents the event’s biggest gathering with 588 VIP delegates from 39 countries and regions including defence ministers, home ministers, armed forces chiefs, police, army, navy, and air force chiefs, along with director-generals and heads of security agencies.
The Smart Digital team will be capturing some of the world’s most sophisticated hardware and electronics spanning land, air, and sea defence during the four day event, along with pioneering advancements in the areas of cyber domains, border protection, citizen identification, artificial intelligence, battlefield healthcare, training and simulation systems, police and homeland security, as well as critical asset protection systems.
The theme for this year’s DSA is ‘Building resilient nations for the next generation’ with 1,324 participating companies from 60 countries set to engage in discussions which will shape the future of defence and security worldwide.
