Video helps Embraer boost audience engagement to 2.17 million views – in just one month.

Embraer is a leading global aerospace brand. Exhibition and event specialists RTH contracted Smart Digital to capture a series of five videos for Embraer at the Farnborough International Airshow. The video content, which included footage of the inaugural flight of Embraer’s Legacy 500 business jet, was created before and during the event to showcase the new aircraft and broadcast Embraer’s latest news to a global audience.

Showcasing the capabilities of Embraer’s Legacy 500 business jet on its inaugural flight

Embraer’s Legacy 500 was the newest midsize business jet to enter the market, featuring the most advanced technology for its category. Smart Digital captured Legacy 500’s steep approach capability, sharing its first operation at London City Airport (LCY) using an onboard film crew and GoPro, plus a helicopter air-to-air video shoot. Smart Digital also handled all filming access permissions for both LCY and Farnborough.

Rapid turnaround ensures launch footage reaches social media channels – the very same day

Footage from the inaugural flight was turned around rapidly using an on-site editing suite. Smart Digital also offered the capability to live stream the inaugural landing.

Sharing Embraer’s activities at Farnborough International Airshow with the rest of the world

Smart Digital created content included video showreels, daily highlights with multi-language capabilities and individual videos featuring aircraft taking part in Farnborough’s pre show activity. The production crew organised an experienced presenter and translators for the duration of the event. Each video was filmed, edited on site, subtitled if required and delivered to Embraer’s social media channels.

Boosting brand engagement with more than 2.17 million views

The five videos were collectively viewed more than 2.17 million times within a month of being uploaded. They also received more than 425,000 likes across both YouTube and Facebook. On Facebook the videos received an average of 422,938 views and 7,960 likes within a month of launch. The average of all other videos placed on Embraer’s Facebook channel over the same period was 65,825 views and 1,957 likes, demonstrating very high levels of audience engagement.

We met Smart Digital and began shooting right away.
