Aircraft manufacturer Boom Supersonic used video to increase the reach of its key announcements and milestones at Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) last month.
Boom commissioned Smart Digital to film and edit a series of video assets on-site capturing its latest developments, along with its press conference at Farnborough.
Latest milestones across Boom’s aircraft programme
The latest milestones across Boom’s Overture, Symphony and XB-1 programmes were announced within a visual overview video showing the Boom chalet.
Developments highlighted onsite within the Boom chalet, included XB-1 gearing up for supersonic flight later this year, the unveiling of the Overture flight deck, and progress on Symphony.
Press conference content captured in full
All of the announcements, milestones and developments were discussed in detail at the press conference led by Boom founder and CEO Blake Scholl.
Smart Digital ensured the entirety of the press conference was recorded for Boom Supersonic, ensuring those who had missed this key event at Farnborough International Airshow, or wished to refer back to the content at a later date, could access the full version.
A pilot’s eye view
One of the key announcements made at FIA was the reveal of Overture’s next-generation flight deck.
Ahead of this reveal, Boom invited several airline pilots to test the flight deck, including former Chief Concorde Pilot for British Airways Mike Bannister, who became the first person to fly both Concorde and Overture.
Smart Digital filmed Mike Bannister putting the flight deck to the test and gained his thoughts on Overture, his experiences on Concorde and his thoughts on supersonic flight in an interview set up.
