Video shortlists unveil GLOMOs finalistsA series of shortlist reveal video programmes recorded and edited by Smart Digital helped build excitement ahead of the 2026 Global Mobile Awards (GLOMOs).
The GLOMOs have been awarded at MWC for more than 30 years, acknowledging outstanding achievement across the entire digital landscape – from technology breakthroughs to initiatives that deliver meaningful societal impact.
Smart Digital worked with the official broadcast partner for MWC in Barcelona, Mobile World Live, to create a series of five videos which unveiled a different GLOMO category finalist shortlist every day across one week in February. Viewers were encouraged to tune in every day to find out which brands had made it through to the judge’s final selection, encouraging online engagement with the award categories ahead of the eagerly awaited ceremony at MWC. The videos were hosted by the Awards’ chair of judges Shaun Collins and Mobile World Live publisher Justin Springham.
During each of the programmes, which were themed around a single event category, the list of companies through to the final were revealed and judges added their insights on key developments and trends within their sector of expertise. Using remote recording ensured judges could share their thoughts within a short recording time frame and also ensured speakers from different time zones could be accommodated within the same programme.
As well as the GLOMO Awards, Smart Digital recorded and delivered a whole range of content for MWC’s preview month, with new videos offering exclusive insights on the event published daily during February. This included topic panel sessions, webinars, keynote previews, top tips for attendees, favourite memories, a podcast and commercial videos.
As well as being shared on the The Official MWC26 Barcelona Preview – Mobile World Live, the videos were also published on LinkedIn.
